Wawa Case Study

The Challenge

Wawa, a popular chain of regional convenience stores based in Wawa, Pennsylvania, began adding gasoline pumps at various store locations.

This highly profitable addition changed sign requirements: the main site signs would now include electronic message boards for fuel-price display, and pumps would need to include banner signs.

But, in the midst of their site conversion process, Wawa had begun experiencing a host of issues with their sign supplier, including permitting, delivery, installation, and quality problems.

The Solution

After a lengthy bidding process, Wawa awarded Icon the program because of both our strong local presence across their multi-state marketplace and our integrated signage and maintenance capabilities.

Icon works with Wawa engineers, sometimes years in advance of implementation, to ensure that we produce affordable, build-able signs.

And we manufacture and install all sign elements within demanding timelines and budget parameters.

The Result

Wawa has been pleased with our consistency, service, and expertise. We continue to work within tight time and cost requirements, and Wawa remains loyal to our services.
