In today’s volatile marketplace, many sign providers have been forced to close their doors or turn to predatory pricing in an effort to stay afloat, dropping prices to a point they cannot sustain for a project’s duration. Yet at Icon, the strength of our many long-standing client relationships has helped us maintain our run rate and retain outstanding market strength. This secure position has enabled us to take a different approach. To ensure our ongoing stability, we are focusing on vast, company-wide improvements. In recent months, rather than making retraction efforts, Icon has invested substantially in training and staff education—a prudent venture that has further solidified our leadership position. We have also continued to enhance our lean manufacturing and sustainability systems, improving our products and services in accordance with the latest advancements in energy efficiency and environmentally conscious practices. In addition, Icon has invested in a new document management, workflow, and portal system called Icon Connect, bringing all Icon teams and our clients together under a single platform. Going forward, we will continue making efficiency improvements to ensure that our products and services provide optimum value. We plan to reduce outsourcing to less than our current 10% rate and manufacture more of our own products in-house to maintain consistent quality and pricing.
