Success Story: Harris Bank
The Challenge
To remain visible and relevant in today’s highly competitive retail banking marketplace, Harris Bank needed an updated image. They aimed to refresh the brand with both unique sign graphics that emphasized the logo and new nomenclature (dropping “bank” from the signature).
This conversion project included 160 locations nationwide and involved very tight time frames.
The Solution
Harris trusted Icon to implement new signage elements at 95 locations.
Due to our past involvement in some of the nation’s largest retail bank conversion programs, Harris also asked us to handle the field surveys, sign recommendations, engineering, prototyping, and permitting for all 160 sites.
Icon worked in conjunction with the Harris design firm to create an inventive sign that included a thermoformed face and an embossed, illuminated logo.
These innovative plans called for aluminum composite cladding material and a monolithic, formed face with radius corners—in short, intricate manufacturing specifications that required a highly involved engineering and prototyping process.
In executing the program, Icon managed a complex approval process at the bank, working with regional presidents and marketing and facility management departments to finalize details for each site.
The Result
Harris expected top quality and a high level of responsiveness, and Icon delivered, meeting stringent requirements for quality, service, budget, and scheduling.
Despite rigorous prototyping, time frames, and approval processes, we completed the project on time and within budget.
