Prudential needed to convert 2,829 sites in the United States and Canada to reflect its new brand identity. The conversion included three separate Prudential divisions--Insurance, Real Estate and Securities--all of which had a say in implementation decisions. Each site represented an independent franchise. A very complex project. Prudential chose Icon.

Icon provided start-to-finish program management, from design engineering through installation. We worked with the design firm, Samata Mason, to translate its vision into a comprehensive sign program: monuments, pylons, letter sets, wall signs, interior plates, wall plaques and more. We managed all aspects of the program: planning, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing and installation.

Icon collaborated closely with 3M to develop custom films for flawless translation of the new corporate colors. We developed an inventory-based approach to implementation for maximum economy and responsiveness--once established, it enabled us to ship and install within 15 days of each order.

Icon participated in several Prudential franchisee conventions, creating an exhibit to show the program and sending field professionals to meet people face to face, answer questions and address issues. This helped achieve maximum buy-in and support for the new program among franchisees.

Prudential received a completed program in less than three years, within the projected time frame and budget. Today, Icon manages ongoing sign projects for Prudential's Real Estate affiliate.
